LACE ED Attends Global Labor Market Conference in Saudi Arabia

The Executive Director of the Liberia Agency for Community Empowerment (LACE), Mr. Julius K. Sele, is currently in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, representing Liberia at the prestigious Global Labor Market Conference (GLMC 25). Held under the distinguished patronage of His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, this year’s event is the second edition of the conference, which brings together global leaders, policymakers, and industry stakeholders to discuss labor market challenges and opportunities.

Running from January 24 to February 2, 2025, GLMC 25 provides a platform for fostering dialogue, inspiring innovative solutions, and promoting collaboration to address the evolving dynamics of the global labor market. This year’s theme, “Mobilizing Change through Collaboration,” focuses on key issues such as labor mobility, technological disruptions, and strategies for equitable workforce development.

In a statement from Riyadh, Mr. Sele expressed his commitment to using insights gained from the conference to enhance Liberia’s labor policies and community empowerment efforts. “Participating in GLMC 25 offers Liberia a unique opportunity to align with global strategies for creating sustainable job opportunities and empowering vulnerable communities. The discussions here are not just about identifying challenges but also about finding actionable solutions that can transform labor markets worldwide,” he stated.
