REALISE 2026 final Implementation Mission Gets Underway

The REALISE Project Implementation Mission officially commenced this morning at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, bringing together key government institutions and partners to review progress, discuss implementation priorities, and strengthen coordination for the successful delivery of the project.

The opening session was hosted by the Hon. Cornelia Kruah, Minister of Youth and Sports and Chairperson of the REALISE Project Steering Committee, who welcomed members of the World Bank Team and emphasized the importance of continued collaboration, accountability, and effective implementation of activities under the project.

The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection (MGCSP) was represented by Hon. Curtis Dorley, Deputy Minister for Research Policy and Planning while the Liberia Agency for Community Empowerment (LACE) was represented by its Executive Director, Hon. Julius K. Sele.

The Implementation Mission provides an important platform for government institutions, the World Bank, and the REALISE Project team to take stock of achievements, identify implementation challenges, assess progress across project components, and agree on actions needed to accelerate delivery and maximize impact for vulnerable households and informal sector workers across Liberia.

As the mission continues, stakeholders are expected to engage in detailed discussions on project performance, financial and operational progress, safeguards, monitoring and evaluation, communications, and the sustainability of interventions.

The mission underscores the Government of Liberia’s commitment, through the REALISE Project and its implementing institutions, to expanding access to livelihood opportunities, strengthening social protection systems, and supporting vulnerable Liberians to build more resilient livelihoods.
