Monrovia, Liberia March 17, 2026– The Recovery of Economic Activity for Liberian Informal Sector Employment (REALISE) Project is conducting another round of comprehensive Occupational Health and Safety training for its staff, aimed at strengthening emergency response capacity and promoting workplace safety across its operations.
The training, held in Monrovia, forms part of the project’s broader commitment to staff welfare and preparedness, particularly for personnel engaged in field-based activities across various counties.
Participants are being trained in essential life-saving techniques, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), wound care, bleeding control, fracture management, and general emergency response procedures. The sessions also emphasize the importance of quick decision-making and effective coordination during emergencies.
The training is being facilitated by the Liberia National Red Cross Society, which stressed that first aid knowledge is a critical component of workplace safety, especially for development practitioners who frequently travel and operate in diverse and sometimes challenging environments.
