REALISE Conducts Orientation Training for Service Providers

Ganta-February 18, 2026: The REALISE Project has commenced a five-day comprehensive orientation training for service providers supporting the implementation of its Community Livelihood and Agriculture Support (CLAS) component. The training is currently underway in Ganta and brings together service providers from multiple counties to strengthen coordination and ensure effective delivery in the project’s final implementation round.

Participants are receiving refresher training in key thematic areas, including Occupational Health and Safety, Climate Smart Agriculture, Life Skills, and Business Management. The orientation is designed to reinforce implementation standards while equipping service providers with practical tools to better support beneficiaries across participating communities.

According to Deputy Project Coordinator Anita K. S Marshall, “the training was intentionally structured to revisit core implementation procedures, with a strong focus on reviewing achievements, identifying challenges, and drawing lessons from the two previous rounds of implementation”.

She emphasized that the workshop also serves as a capacity-building platform for staff from the Western Cluster—Bomi, Cape Mount, and Gbarpolu Counties—who will be responsible for delivering Climate Smart Agriculture and Life Skills training to beneficiaries in their respective communities.

Marshall further noted that “the workshop will explore practical solutions aimed at ensuring a smoother, more coordinated, and results-driven final round of implementation”.

Service providers attending the training are drawn from Bong, Grand Gedeh, Lofa, and Nimba Counties, reflecting the project’s broad geographic reach and commitment to harmonized service delivery across Liberia.

Background of the REALISE Project

The REALISE Project is a Government of Liberia initiative designed to strengthen social protection systems and improve livelihood opportunities for poor and vulnerable populations, particularly in rural communities. Through its Community Livelihood and Agriculture Support (CLAS) component, the project focuses on enhancing climate resilience, boosting agricultural productivity, and increasing household income generation capacity.

Under the project, approximately 24,255 beneficiaries in rural communities receive farm inputs, technical agricultural support, and labor subsidies to enable them to engage in community-level farming activities. These interventions are aimed at helping households recover from economic shocks, strengthen food security, and build sustainable income streams.

Beyond agricultural support, the project also facilitates the restoration or construction of community-level infrastructure and promotes market linkages through collaboration with local Farmer-Based Organizations. By combining agricultural training, life skills development, and business management support, the REALISE Project seeks to create a holistic and sustainable pathway out of poverty for participating communities across Liberia.
