The Recovery of Economic Activity for Liberian Informal Sector Employment (REALISE) Project is currently offering comprehensive training in various aspects of project implementation, including Market Linkages, Safeguards, Value Addition, and more. These sessions are designed for the project’s Implementing Partners, and participants come from seven counties, each actively involved in executing the Community Livelihood and Agriculture Support component of the project.
At the opening ceremony, the Executive Director of the Liberia Agency for Community Empowerment (LACE), Julius Sele, expressed his gratitude to the participants. He commended them for their strong interest in the project and their continuous support of the implementation activities in line with the project’s objectives.
“While challenges are inevitable along the way, I urge the service providers to remain steadfast and committed to the greater good of the project, especially for the benefit of Liberia’s vulnerable populations,” Mr. Sele stated.
Also delivering remarks at the event, Project Coordinator Jesse Bengu emphasized the significance of the REALISE project, describing it as an ideal platform to serve the needs of ordinary Liberians. He expressed optimism about the project’s long-term impact, highlighting that it will continue to create valuable opportunities for communities throughout its duration, with an expected conclusion in 2026.
The training and collaboration fostered by this initiative are expected to play a crucial role in uplifting the informal sector and improving livelihoods for the vulnerable populations in Liberia.
