Monrovia, Liberia – September 12, 2025 – In a continued effort to strengthen institutional collaboration and support public service delivery, the REALISE Project today donated twelve (12) branded raincoats to officers of the Liberia National Police (LNP) assigned at the Jallah Town and Capitol Bypass intersections in Monrovia.
This symbolic donation represents the initial phase of a broader initiative by the REALISE Project to increase engagement and provide practical support to key institutions working on the frontlines. Each raincoat bears the REALISE Project’s name and logo, reinforcing the project’s commitment to visibility and partnership in community development.
During a brief handover ceremony, REALISE Project Coordinator Mr. Jesse Bengu praised the dedication of the LNP officers, especially those who work under challenging weather conditions to ensure traffic remains safe and orderly.
“We are moved by the level of work officers of the Liberia National Police do every day, often under heavy downpours, to keep our streets safe and traffic flowing smoothly,” Mr. Bengu said. “Though this donation may seem modest, it is a token of our appreciation and a recognition of the specific officers assigned at these two vital intersections.”
Receiving the items on behalf of the Liberia National Police, Deputy Inspector General for Administration, Mr. William Mulbah, expressed gratitude for the timely support. He emphasized the positive impact such gestures can have on morale and operational readiness.
“This donation will not only boost the morale of our officers, but it will also serve as an encouragement for other well-meaning organizations to support the work of the Liberia National Police,” said Mr. Mulbah. “I will formally inform the Inspector General, Hon. Gregory Coleman, of this generous gesture.”
The REALISE Project remains committed to working alongside public institutions to create meaningful and sustainable impact in Liberia.
The REALISE Project is Financed by the World Bank, French Development Agency, the Swedish International Development Corporation Agency and the Government of Liberia. Implemented by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection, and the Liberia Agency for Community Empowerment.
